We’re delighted to share that we have reached full capacity for our programming through the month of March! Today we had our first week of classes, and so much fun at the library!

We completed two projects with learners while exploring beneficial insects through art and literature. Specifically we learned about caterpillars and butterflies, and read “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” at this week’s story time.

We used recycled corks as our paintbrushes and stamped our own very hungry caterpillars.

We also colored and experimented with water to create marbling effects on coffee filters and made butterflies!

We had a wonderful time talking about the importance of pollinators and applying sustainable practices to our art!

Each child has their own station to create, and everyone had a great time!

Thanks to NOLA Public Libraries for working with us! We look forward to seeing everyone next week, 10:30 at the Norman Mayer Branch!
