Budding Artists Program: Week Three

This week we had a wonderful time exploring the topic of seeds! Children learned about how plants grow from a single seed. We learned all about what a seed needs to grow and how they need sunlight, water, and soil in order to sprout. Learners had a chance to paint their own planters out of recycled tin cans and plant their own bean seeds to take home and watch grow!

We read two stories about seeds and learned about how patience is required in order to grow plants.

Story Time

Learners sang about seeds and danced as we pretended to be seeds starting to sprout!

A great time was had by all and we can’t wait to see your smiling faces again next week!

Be sure to come next week where we will continue our exploration of nature and sustainable art and will be making bug hotels! We see you at the Norman Mayer Branch at 10:30 on Thursday.
