Galvez Garden Community Shrine, Anna K. Lemnitzer, 2022

“The Galvez Garden Community Shrine is a living sculptural wall located in the Galvez Garden. It is dedicated to the people who live in the community of St. Roch. Each shape is a crescent, a nod to the Crescent City – New Orleans, LA and to the crescent moon, a time for action, creation, empowerment, and tapping into our intuition.”

Art in the Park

1 day, 10 artists, 10 works. In 2023 we produced a one day public art event at the Louisiana Audubon Nature Center. Concluding the event, in 2023 the NOLA Artist Incubator exhibited, “En Plein Air: Observation and Perspectives of Nature in New Orleans”. This public art exhibition used art to interpret ideas and concepts reflecting changing environments specific to Southeastern Louisiana.

The exhibition included:

• Opening and month long exhibition at the Audubon; and
• Four month long display at Longue Vue House and Gardens (including free days open to non-members).
