The NOLA Artist Incubator is pleased to share that our Executive Director has been selected as a 4.0 Schools 2024 Tiny Fellow. 4.0 Schools removes barriers between people and power by investing in community-centered education ideas, encouraging big ideas and creating the space and support systems needed for those ideas to grow.
This year’s Tiny Fellowship cohort includes 128 educational leaders who are embarking on a transformative journey to turn innovative ideas into both disruptive and constructive shifts within the educational paradigm. All pushing themselves to run disciplined tests of their ideas with their communities, fellows:
- identify areas in need of programmatic support;
- engage in dialogues about the role of equity in their work;
- build a strong sense of community; and,
- gain skills and best practices for project development and impact evaluation.

For her project, Lissie will be working with NOLA Nature School to build a large scale music garden for the honeybee classroom. With goals to expand our Sustainable Environmental Art Delivery (S.E.A.D.) program to additional schools this fall, we’re excited about the additional materials and evaluation tools she’ll be able to design from this opportunity. Stay tuned to see what she creates!
